Who is Vonda B.? – read on to find out.

Hello all! My name is Shevonda Minor, and I’m an alumna of THE University of Memphis! I majored in Music Industry with a concentration in Recording Technology. I’m also a native of Memphis, which I’m proud to call this bold city my home!

As you may have noticed, I go by the name “Vonda B.” at times. It’s actually my nickname my father affectionately gave me when I was younger. Ever since then, I have wrote and produced music under this name; I plan to do this professionally as well.

I have practically grown up around music all my life: starting from when I was a child, I remember hearing my mother and my aunts and uncles all sing as a gospel choir. Their harmonies propelled me to venture out into a career in music!

But, that’s not all! When I was in middle school, I began to play the viola, and eventually moved on to the cello and then the violin. Also, I magically began to write songs as well; I remember sitting in a social studies class one day and started to write random words in a song form. These later turned out to be songs and lyrics that I still have today!

All in all, I can say that I have been bitten by the music bug. My passion has always been for music; I can’t see myself doing anything else! When I went to college, I wanted to learn something new. After playing the violin for so long, I decided to learn a new instrument: the piano!
